Champion x Hélas
Basketball season is heating up, and so is Champion and Paris-based athleisure label Hélas with their new collaboration, bringing together edgy streetwear and the sport for a collection of hoodies and other basics. Comfort does not sacrifice quality with Champion’s classic Reverse Weave range for oversized pieces branded with Hélas and Champion logos and text. Hoodies and sweatpants become co-ords featuring a blue graphic of Hélas’ umbrella icon against a sun with Champion logos for eyes. T-shirts feature the same graphic, while beanies and a baseball-style cap switch things up with embroidered Hélas text. Check out the collection on the Hélas website.
Carhartt WIP FW23
Take a trip back to the 90s with Carhartt WIP’s newest Fall/Winter 2023 campaign. Set in vintage scenes of New York City, the campaign feels like something out of a film, with grunge underground aesthetics playing with the lighting and mood of the campaign. Subways, parks at dusk, fast food spots, and the city streets host the campaign’s slew of Carhartt WIP seasonal clothing. The brand’s obvious workwear is a feature, while 90s-style vests, knitwear, varsity jackets, and graphic tees flow together. Fuzzy outerwear and accessories add functionality for the season, ultra-wide-leg denim pants tap into the heart of 90s fashion, and patterns like pinstripes are focal points. Check out the campaign and collection on Carhartt WIP’s website.
ANTI SOCIAL SOCIAL CLUB x UNDEFEATED
Two of the biggest names in streetwear are back together for their most extensive collection to date, titled “Chessboard.” Characteristic of the title, the collection takes a dive into the world of chess, highlighting its nature as more than just a game but a sport and shedding light on the growing fandom brought by the younger generations. True to the streetwear genre, the collection sticks to the usual styles of hoodies, graphic tees, and various accessories. Hoodies feature black and white checker patterns in the shape of a king or queen chess piece; t-shirts are dubbed with co-labeled slogans such as “ANTI SOCIAL UNDEFEATED CHESS CLUB,” and accessories range from a branded zippo lighter to a branded cigarette dish and more. Check out the collection on ANTI SOCIAL SOCIAL CLUB’s website.
OVO x ‘The Simpsons’
Drake’s streetwear label, October’s Very Own (OVO), has released its latest collaboration in conjunction with the prolific skateboard-loving cartoon character Bart Simpson from The Simpsons. The character takes many forms on a variety of different streetwear staples such as hoodies and graphic t-shirts, from the infamous “Bartman” superhero graphic to Devil Bart and just plain ole Bart. OVO branding can be found around each graphic, and colorways remain essential, with black, white, and beige as options for the garments. Beanies are the accessory of choice for this collection, available in black and white or red and grey featuring Bart monikers. Check out the collection on the OVO website.
