Rayvin's Face Card

Meet the lovely Rayvin Hugera certified NYC it-girl. When she's not building her digital empire by working as a content creator and creative specialist across a multitude of luxury fashion and beauty accounts, she is on your screen starring as the daughter of Karen Huger in the renowned Bravo TV show The Real Housewives of Potomac. Did we mention she has a face card that never declines? For the sixth installment of our Face Card series, we spoke with Rayvin about all of her beauty must-haves and exclusive tips.

When did you first get into beauty?

I was a cheerleader growing up and hated the way that I looked when other people did my makeup. I can still remember the day I was in the mirror after competitions and was like - OK, girl it's time to get it together! From then on, my relationship with makeup and taking care of my skin has really blossomed. Makeup and skincare are so inextricably linked to self-image. Taking care of the skin I'm in and knowing how to beat my own face has me radiating with confidence I didn't know I had!

What was the first ever beauty product that you were obsessed with?

I was born a blush girl and will always be a blush girl, even when it wasn't the look! My mom will tell you herself because she used to try to talk me out of it, like, the blush craze was truly obsessive. To be honest, not much has changed. My favorite blushes right now are the Benetint Rose Cheek & Lip Stain, NARS Blush in Exhibit A, and the PATRICK TA Crème and Powder Blush Duos

Who are your current beauty inspirations in culture?

Pat Mcgrath comes to mind first and foremost. She is the most influential makeup artist of our time and has remained on top for over two decades. Her influence is everywhere and I believe that is because she continues to be thoughtful and forward thinking about her work - the impact of the Glass Skin makeup look at the Maison Margiela Artisanal Collection Show this year was only further proof of that.

Let's get into some product recs! If you could only bring three beauty products with you on a two-month trip, what would they be and why(the must-haves)?

1. rhode skin Glazing Milk

I would die without the rhode skin products by Hailey Bieber. I actually lost my Pineapple Refresh Daily Cleanser during recent travel and it still haunts me! My favorite of her products right now is definitely the Glazing Milk. It just makes my skin look so delicious with minimal effort.

A product that is new to my shelves that I'm really leaning into is the Pat Mcgrath Sublime Perfection Concealer – Queen Pat strikes again! It just gives such a flawless look every time and I've gotten my whole team hooked.

To close, give me one Rayvin exclusive beauty tip!

Give yourself the permission to experiment! We often mistakenly believe who we were yesterday has to be who we are today. I change my look constantly because I am many things and am always inspired by many things. It's so much more fun this way.
