"Over Again" follows her introspective single "Sleepwalking" and the sweet, reflective "Like Honey." The track showcases Yuneki's ability to blend vulnerability with uplifting melodies, weaving delicate piano lines with an empowering chorus. The song is deeply personal to her. She states, "'Over Again' is about my internal voice. Resenting myself for making the same mistakes so many times and fear that everyone I love will give up on me."

Yuneki's music is characterized by its emotional depth and relatable themes, offering listeners a glimpse into her inner world. Raised in Cambridge on a mix of pop, R&B, and soul influences—ranging from Lauryn Hill to Beyoncé—she started writing lyrics at age 11 and quickly found her voice. Her personal experiences, especially her struggles with mental health and relationships, form the core of her songwriting.

Her debut EP, Born Without Skin, captures this raw emotionality, with Yuneki likening her sensitivity to being "born without skin."

Reflecting on her upcoming EP, Yuneki explains, “The title Born Without Skin came from a conversation I had with a friend where I was talking about how sensitive I am; that maybe some people feel more deeply than others. I used the analogy that I felt like I was born without skin, and it felt like I’d found a perfect way to describe a feeling I’d always had. I think it encapsulates this EP because all the songs are about the way I feel and my experience of the world through this maybe overly emotional lens.”

With more music and performances on the horizon, Yuneki is solidifying her place as a fresh and authentic voice in Gen Z pop. Fans can expect a lot more from this rising star as she continues to break new ground in the alternative pop scene.
