The tour promotion company Live Nation is launching its first-ever drive-in concert series in the United States due to regular concerts being shut down and prohibited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Billboard, "The entertainment company on Monday announced 'Live from the Drive-In' — a set of nine shows to take place July 10-12 in Nashville, Tennessee; Maryland Heights, Missouri; and Noblesville, Indiana."
Brad Paisley will headline and perform in all three cities, Darius Rucker and Jon Pardi will perform in Nashville, and Nelly will perform in Maryland Heights, close to his hometown, St. Louis.
Attendees will be able to pull into the parking lot of the amphitheaters where the concerts are taking place with a maximum of four people to a car, and each car will be assigned a designated tailgating zone to get out and watch the show, eat, drink, etc. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food, drinks, and chairs. But, according to Live Nation, a menu of hot food items and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
