In Premiere: Natalie Jane Unveils Music Video for “Yucky”

Natalie Jane has released a captivating new music video for her track “Yucky,” which is a standout from her recently released Sick to My Stomach EP.

Directed by Paola Ossa, the video brings to life the song’s theme of toxic love and self-transformation. It opens with Natalie dressed in exaggerated pink frills, heavy makeup, and a blonde wig, as she struggles to mold herself into an idealized version for a romantic partner. However, the narrative takes a sharp turn as her friends intervene, helping her shed this artificial version of herself. In a playful twist, they put this toxic persona to rest in a series of choreographed dance sequences—complete with shovels and dirt, symbolizing a literal and figurative burial of her past self.

The video perfectly complements the track’s emotional depth, which, like the rest of Sick to My Stomach, navigates the tumultuous highs and lows of love. Natalie croons lyrics like, “You say you like blondes, I’ll call my hairdresser,” capturing the painful ways we can sometimes compromise our true selves in unhealthy relationships. Musically, “Yucky” shifts from intimate acoustic moments to soaring alt-rock choruses, infused with UK dance elements, reflecting the song’s dynamic emotional journey.

Natalie’s Sick to My Stomach EP has already generated massive attention, with short-form videos of the songs garnering over 200 million views ahead of its release.
