Chet Lo SS25 "Mai's Blossom"

Chet Lo’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show, "Mai’s Blossom," paid tribute to his mother, Mai-Wah Cheung, celebrating her groundbreaking career in computer science, digital media, and her later transformation into an artist and educator. This personal collection embodies her resilience and evolution, merging structured office wear with softer, artistic elements.

Key design features include glitch patterns, symbolizing her digital expertise, and reimagined plaids reflecting her corporate elegance.

Playful fruit motifs inspired by her artwork represent her transition into painting, while the color palette moves from deep tones to soft pastels, mirroring her personal journey.

Fabrics blend strength and delicacy, capturing the duality of her life. Isamaya French's makeup artistry complements the collection well.

"Mai’s Blossom" stands as a beautiful tribute to memory, reinvention, and the balance of strength and softness.
